Everything you experience—symptoms, emotions, lifestyle—is a doorway to healing. When we stop asking “what is wrong with me?” and start asking “what do I need?”, and when we truly listen for the answer, we are ready to walk through that doorway.
I’m a Traditional Naturopath N.D. and Doula. I also have a Nutritherapy Practitioner Diploma, and I am currently studying Herbalism.
My wellness journey
In 2010, I faced autoimmune hemolytic anemia—six blood transfusions, 6 transfusions of immunoglobulin therapy, steroids, and weeks in hospital. As a single mother of three, survival became non-negotiable.
On the road to recovery, when I asked why this happened, the doctor said I probably had lupus, that my other symptoms and some of my markers were “lupus-y”. When I asked how to prevent another life-threatening flare-up, the answer I was given was: “Avoid stress and don’t smoke.”
I knew I needed more. That decision led me to study Applied Holistic Nutrition, then Naturopathy – This is when I truly understood that healing deeply is a body–mind–spirit journey.
My Philosophy & Approach
I don’t treat symptoms, I treat roots. My approach blends science based evidence, emotional presence, and gentle guidance in a way that honours each patient’s unique story, and with realistic consideration of the complexities and varied circumstances in their daily lives and real life experiences.
Changing the way I treat and feed my body has made a world of difference in my life, and literally gave me a new lease on life. I am deeply passionate about sharing tools, knowledge, and resources and I’m here to encourage, support, and help others integrate comprehensive change into their lives.
If you’re looking for real solutions that treat the root of your problems, not just more medications that act as a bandaid and temporary mask symptoms, you’re in the right place.
If you’re looking for different results than what you are getting – actions you can take to make life alterning changes – you’ve come to the right place.
Whether you want to simply lean into healthier food and lifestyle choices, explore current symptoms and work on a customized plan to get to the root of the problem, or switch completely to an entirely plant-based diet; We will work together as a team to identify personal achievable goals and work towards sustainable, long-term changes to ensure your success and guide you on the path to a healthier you.
You deserve more than temporary fixes—you deserve to feel vibrantly well, emotionally safe, and intimately connected to your own intuition and power.
About my Naturopathy and Nutritherapy services
As a naturopath, nutritherapy practitioner, doula, and mother of three grown daughters, I have an endless curiosity and deep passion for women’s health. My holistic approach addresses the health of the mind, body, and spirit. I believe the best way to help people is by educating and guiding them to empower themselves.
This includes supporting clients in optimizing their diet and lifestyle to balance hormones and promote overall reproductive health, helping them prepare emotionally, physically, and nutritionally for labor, birth, and postpartum recovery, guiding them to confidently navigate their fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, and providing support throughout their journey.
My areas of specialization include hormone health, PCOS, and perimenopause/menopause. Additionally, I work extensively with gut health andd digestive disorders, mental health, and the management and prevention of autoimmune disorders and diseases.
I have comprehensive training in child cognitive-behaviour regulation and parent-child relationships. I guide clients in creating a healthy, balanced lifestyle for their families and coach parents and children through conflict and behavioural challenges. I also design family-oriented nutrition plans that consider the unique needs of each family member, from children to adults, promoting long-term family health and wellness.
On prenatal and post natal care and Childbirth
My own birth experiences shaped my mission:
- First birth: Traumatic hospital birth, disempowering and dehumanizing.
- Second: A calm, home birth surrounded by support.
- Third: A gentle hospital birth with a nurturing provider who listened.
These contrasts showed me the power of being seen, heard, and honored. Every birthing person deserves that kind of presence and care. They deserve to know the truth about their bodies and their babies. They deserve to be advocated for, supported and nurtured with consideration for their varied needs and experiences during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
And they deserve to feel empowered giving life.
On Plant-Based Food, Health and Lifestyle
While I specialize in plant-based health and gut health, I do work with clients with all dietary habits, without judgment, and without any agenda other than helping to empower them to reach their personal health goals.
It is a constant learning process and with each thing I learn about living a vegan lifestyle, and the positive impacts that has on health, animals and the environment, the more inspired I become. I passionately continue to move forward and evolve every day. It it has made a world of difference in my life and I am happy to share the information I have, my thoughts, and so many tasty recipes with all of you!
